Terence Tao will be speaking to parents/guardians on Wednesday, April 19 at 8:30 am in the von Furstenberg Auditorium. This is a speaker you don’t want to miss! Curtis parent and mathematician extraordinaire, Terence Tao, will come and speak to us about Math behind the curtain: how many modern technologies are powered by mathematics. Mathematics plays an invisible role behind much of the technologies that power the modern world. In this talk he will present a few examples of how many of these now familiar tools would not be possible without creative use of math. Terence Tao is a professor of Mathematics at UCLA and won the Fields Medal among many other accolades for his incredible work.
