Families Helping Families

We are excited to celebrate the 31st year of our Families Helping Families (FHF) service project with One Voice.  Each year, we come together as a Curtis community to donate essential personal and household items to families in need. Your classroom’s assigned family profile and SignUp Genius is below. Thank you in advance for helping us make this program a huge success! It cannot happen without your support.

This year, we are asking each class to gather specific clothing items for their assigned One Voice family and broader goods across designated categories for all of our One Voice families. For the second year, the FHF team will create the Cougar Mart in the Pavilion at Curtis Cares Day (April 27th 9-11am) for each class to “shop” for their assigned family’s needed items. Students may bring in donations from April 8th – April 19th and drop them in the FHF bins outside their classrooms.

You can find out more about One Voice here and if you would like to make a monetary contribution to support our One Voice families please use this link (TBD) and select “Curtis School - Families Helping Families Program” in the “apply your gift” menu.

Project Goals: This service-learning project aligns with our mission to develop a compassionate heart in every child, inspire purpose beyond themselves, and understand the impact they can have on their community.

Things to know:

  • Please help your child choose items to donate to the drive from this list. We can only accept new/unopened items.
  • Please label clothing items with your grade/teachers name on a sticker or masking tape.
  • If you want to bring gift cards, please label cards with $ value and give the gift cards directly to your teacher for safekeeping.
  • Participation is optional and highly encouraged.
