Curtis Cares Day - RSVP HERE
Please save the date for the return of Curtis Cares Day! This service day was created to meet the needs of our families looking to help others, impart important values to our students, and encourage pride of ownership through meaningful, sustainable projects that build the community outside of Curtis and beautify our own space. Bringing our community together on this day gives us a chance to be on campus working together towards a positive outcome. We highly encourage all families to participate in this special Curtis tradition.
When: Saturday April 23rd, 9am-12pm
Where: Curtis School
What: There will be a total of 8 fun and interactive projects set up throughout the school for parents and students to take part in, including:

Families Helping Families Donation Packing - Packing up donations for Families Helping Families to benefit One Voice.

Roots & Shoots - Assembling toiletries kits for UNICEF.

2nd Grade Book Drive - sorting and creating a fun bookmark for students, which will go to charities such as St. Elmo's Village, Camino Nuevo School, Healthy Start Family clinic, and more.

No Kill LA - Making dog toys to benefit the animal rescue organization.

Butterfly Garden - Beautifying our school's garden by planting milkweeds and surrounding the ecosystem with a birdhouse building and painting project.

Belmont Senior Center - Decorating glass flower jars to give to the senior center.

All Green E-waste - Accepting all E-waste which means, anything that plugs into the wall or takes a battery to include: televisions (CRT & flat panel) monitors computers laptops tablets printers cell phones DVD/VCR speakers keyboards mice microwaves vacuums cables & wires. Not accepting batteries, light bulbs, exercise equipment and large appliances. Collection bins will be set up at the circle for drop-off from April 19th- 23rd.

Lemonade Stand - Distributing delicious lemonade, led by our very own 6th graders!
